Inspired by the text that Benjamin Britten set in his Ceremony of Carols, these two carols provide a contrast in mood. "I Sing of a Maiden" is contemplative and serene where "Tidings True" is dance-like and bouyant. The carols may be performed together as set or separately and make a great addition to any Christmas choral program.
